He is survived by: his wife Loretta (Scholl); his children, Tammy Smith (Peter) of Elizabethtown, Dwayne Portner (Donna) of Fischer, TX and Deane Portner (Tracy) of Marietta; and his sisters, Annette Knepper of York and Marthann Mowrer of Greenbackville, VA..
