She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Walters and Freda Walters (Hauser); her former husband Winfield H. Simmons; and her siblings, Albert "Wick" Walters, Millie McCarty and Vernie McClain.

She is survived by: her daughters, Kathleen A. Koser (Denny) of Marietta, Amy L. Pickle (Don) of Marietta and Lori F. Potteiger (Lester) of Marietta; her stepchildren, James A. Bish of Lancaster and Jacqueline R. Hintz (John) of Newark, DE; and her grandchildren, Dan, Shannon, Meghan, Donny, Stefanie, Neal, Jessi, Abby, Rob and Alaina. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
