She was predeceased by : her parents, Harold Leroy and Sarah Grace Johnston (Jamison); her husband Larry Shields; her children, Ronald Shields and Linda LaVan; her brother Don Johnston; and her son-in-law Chuck LaVan.
She is survived by : her sons, Dennis Shields (Grace) of Mayport and Gary Shields (Marie) of Marion Center; her daughter-in-law Darlene Shields; and her brother William H. Johnston (Ruth) of Marion Center. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
