He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Spithaler and Sara Ramsey Spithaler; his wife June N. Spithaler; and his siblings, Paul, Ralph, Raymond Spithaler and Lois Andres.

He is survived by : his children, Colleen Stephan (Clete) and Martin Spithaler (Barbara) of Adams Twp; his grandchildren, Adam Spithaler (Jamie), Grant Spithaler, Janelle Hilscher (Jay) and Ryan Stephan (Stephanie); and his great grandchildren, Isaac, Amelia, Levi, Evelyn, Reid, Aria and Ethan.

Memorials may be made to Lifepointe Alliance Church.
