He was predeceased by : his parents, Francis Ward and Margaret Wittmer Ward; and his siblings, Ruth Vitanza, Harry and Robert Ward.

He is survived by : his wife Martha Gurtner Ward; his sons, Regis Ward (Christina) of Valencia, Robert Ward (Elizabeth) of Butler and Jeffrey Ward of Mars; and his grandchildren, Jessica Woomer (James) and Christian Ward.
