He was predeceased by : his parents, John Charney and Martha Charney; his wife Mary Jane; and his siblings, John, Albert (Butch), Paul, George Charney, Merna Rainey and Irene Charney (Wink).

He is survived by : his children, Steve Charney of Venango and Patricia Cameroni (David) of Edinboro; his siblings, Charles Charney of Harborcreek, Esther Charney of Erie and Alva Ohman of Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Shannon King (Brian) and Brandon Cameroni; and his great grandchildren, Brandi, Abby King, Mia, Kaleb and Ella Cameroni.

Memorials may be made to the ANNA Shelter, 1555 East 10th St., Erie, PA 16511.
