He was predeceased by: his son Gary Brown; and his brother Michael Tunder. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Tunder; his children, Terri Kilkuts (Art), Karen Mulig (Matt), George Tunder, Jr. (Christine) and PJ Tunder (Kelly); his grandchildren, Jon Brown, Nick Kilkuts (Andrea), Courtney Kilkuts, Christopher Kilkuts, Mike Kilkuts, Max Kilkuts, Moriah Mulig, Mia Mulig, Malia Mulig, Mike Tunder and Danica Tunder; and his siblings, Maryann Szczepanski and Paul Tunder. He is also survived by several other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial contributions may be donated to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
