He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ursiny and Elizabeth Ursiny (Shepherd); and his daughter Evelyn Layton. He is survived by: his wife Erda Ursiny (Reinhart); his children, Linda Robertson (Edward "Butch"), Joan Driscoll, Grace Ventura, Nancy Reed (Robert), Charles Ursiny, Jr. (Laurie), Colleen Ursiny, Lisa Good (Dave Gibb) and Edward Ursiny (Kimberly); and his sister Ida Grissom. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, over 30 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.
