He was predeceased by: his parents, Jonathan Helsel and Philomena Helsel (Ross). He is survived by: his wife Lynda Helsel (Johnson); his children, Joseph Helsel (Maureen), Keith Helsel (Marina), Kimberly Helsel, Thomas Shields (Amanda Nigriss), Allison Swauger (Kevin) and Shannon Helsel; his grandchildren, Riley, Jasmine, Aiden, Kaylee, Keira, Kassidy, Addison, Nicholas, Christopher, Jake and Adam; and his adoptive daughter Ammie Callahan.
