He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Tate and Edith Tate (DelAsandro); and his siblings, Falco Tate and Patricia Jarvis. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Tate (Coltogirone); his children, James A. Tate, Jr. of Versailles Borough, Megan Tate of McKeesport and Michael Tate (Alyssa Farally); and his grandchildren, Kilyn, Haylee, Liam Tate, Noah Walsh and Parker Potter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
