He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Patterson and Esther Patterson (Burns); and his wives, Laura Bowland and Sara Hurst (Hurst). He is survived by: his children, Richard Ingel (Debbie) of Delaware, Robert S. Patterson of McKeesport, Rhonda McNamara (Terry) of New York and William T. Patterson (Nikki) of Union Township; and his grandchildren, Ryan Patterson of Maryland, Kayla McNamara of New York and Sean McNamara of West Virginia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
