She was predeceased by : her mother Catherine Pennington; and her brother Thomas Pennington. She is survived by : her father Harold Pennington; her children, Caleb Pennington (Kristine Bradley), Dakota Sharp (Jawuan Brown) and Hailey Sharp; her grandchildren, Serenity Doratio, Tacelynn Patterson, Jhaloni and Jaiceon Brown; her siblings, Paul Pennington, Debra Geoff, Patricia Brown, Michelle Nies and Shannon Frankenberry; and her friend Lada Eisentrout DeGidio.

She spent the last year of her life working in a COVID unit.
