It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Vere Stanford of Meadville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 8, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Vere Stanford and Dorothy DeRouchie; his wife Rose A. Lang; his daughter Sonya Marie Shartle; and his aunt Marie Stanford.
He is survived by: his children, Tanya Matelan of Erie and Robert V. Stanford II (Allyon) of Ferrum, VA; his grandchildren, Madalyn Stanford, Caitland West, Josie Shartle, Clayton Stanford, Adam Matelan, Cooper Stanford and Jax Stanford; and his stepsiblings, Luann DeRouchie of Lancaster and Raymond DeRouchie of Meadville. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Calendar Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home and Cremation Services (404 Chestnut St, Meadville, PA 16335). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Calendar Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. (404 Chestnut St, Meadville, PA 16335).
