James L. Long Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James L. Long of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 3, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Long and Helen Long (Heffelfinger); his wife Hazel Long (Haftel); his son Scott J. Long; and his sister Linda Harrington.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark of Seattle, WA and Gregory (Candice) of Belle Mead, NJ; and his grandchildren, Lauren, Thomas, Claire and Colin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either: Camp Hill Presbyterian Church (https://www.camphillpres.org), 101 N. 23rd Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011, or to The V Foundation for Cancer Research, which would directly support his son's ride in honor of Jim, with the foundation ensuring that 100% of proceeds go towards cancer research.
