Jean George Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 25, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Jean George of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

As we bid Jean farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Jean is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was predeceased by : her parents, John D. Ballard and Marion Ballard; and her sisters, Anne Dunlap, Mary Martin and Nancy Ballard.

She is survived by : her husband John Reid George Sr.; her stepchildren, Ellen Smith (George), David George (Diane) and John George Jr.; and her nephews, Thomas Martin (Joyce), Wayne Dunlap (Emily) and Wesley Dunlap. She is also survived by three grand-nieces and three grand-nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM. A graveside service was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at 11:00 AM.
