It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce S. Frak in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, born in Yonkers, New York, who passed away on July 17, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband George J. Frak; her parents, Samuel M. Somers and Helen Somers; her brother Warren G. Somers; her sister-in-law Lucretia Somers; her great grandchildren, Lydia Joy Harshberger and Reese Daniel Harshberger; her daughter Nancy D. Bartholomew; and her son-in-law Edward W. Bartholomew.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Samuel Sheesley and Brooke Harshberger; her grandson-in-law Thomas Harshberger; her grandson George E. Bartholomew; her great grandchild Emmanuel R. Harshberger (Manny); her siblings, Thomas K. Somers and Anna M. Emrich; her brother-in-law Robert J. Emrich, Sr.; and her sister Mary R. Maples.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Malpezzi Funeral Home (8 Market Plaza Way, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Joyce may be made to Crossroads Community Church, Youth and Kids Camp Scholarship Fund, 1425 South Market Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
