He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Wiest and Vesta Paul Wiest; his wife Jean A. Wolfe Wiest; and his siblings, Delphin, Lindy, Joyce Wiest and Bettijane Pakyz.

He is survived by: his children, Stephen L. Wiest (Debra), Suanne L. Kreamer (Brian) and Sherry E. Wiest; his granddaughter Dr. Amanda L. Crowell (Robert); his great grandchild Cooper; his brothers, Bernard P. Wiest (Dorothy) and Arlen G. Wiest (Shirley); and his sister-in-law Joan Wiest.
