He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Smiley and Margaret Eleanor Smiley (Power); his wife Roberta J. Smiley (Burnside); and his siblings, Harold, Ralph, Donald Smiley, Marjorie Smiley and Mabel Higinbotham.
He is survived by : his daughters, Joyce A. Loy (Bill) of Landisburg and Janet E. Evans (Thomas) of Morgantown, WV; his grandchildren, Crystal Farnsworth (Tyler), Jacob Evans (Heather), Eli Evans (Julia Howard), Alex Loy (Julie) and Kerri Loy; and his great grandchildren, Michael, Kathryn Loy, Asher Farnsworth and Nolan Evans.
