He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Fries and Ethel Comerer Fries; and his siblings, Nevin Fries, Martha Fries and Catherine Buterbaugh.
He is survived by: his niece Corinna Rotz (Sam) of Ft. Loudon, PA; his great-nephew Joey Rotz (Arin) of Ft. Loudon, PA; his great-niece Cayla D. Richards of Ft. Loudon, PA; Joseph Samuel "Jase" Rotz VI, Korbyn Richard Rotz, Michael Rhyder Richards, Pacey James Richards and Reanna Jo Richards.
A graveside service was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fairview Cemetery (11 N Fayette St, Mercersburg, PA 17236).
