He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Hemming and Annamae Hemming (Ross); his grandparents, Abe Ross and Nora Ross; and his sisters, Vietta Shumaker and Inez Hemming.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his daughter Amy Knopsnyder (Tom) of Reading; his grandchildren, Lucas Knopsnyder and Ava Knopsnyder; his son David Hemming (Jessica) of Meyersdale; his grandchildren, Julia Stephens and Jalen Stephens; and his brothers, Chester Hemming (Lauren) and Leroy Hemming. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
