He is survived by: his children, John Prowant, Jr. (Judy) of Cincinnati, Laurie Prowant Derr (Robert) of Swengel and Thomas Prowant (Ruth) of Lewisburg. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
