Messersmith Jr. (Millersburg, Pennsylvania), born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 6, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Mowery Sr. and Mabel Mowery (McClure); his adoptive parents, Norman Wayne Messersmith Sr. and Golda Messersmith; his siblings, Carlotta Kelley, Joanne, Jean and Dayne; and his daughter Gina Messersmith.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Messersmith (Chubb); his sons, Gary Messersmith (Colleen) and Dwain Messersmith Sr. (Janelle); his grandchildren, Dwain Messersmith Jr. (Becki) and Amy Eckel (Dan Eckel); his great grandchildren, Emma, Joseph, Benjamin and Carmella; and his children, Zachary and Emily.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 982 Medical Road, Millersburg, PA 17061.
