He was predeceased by : his parents, Benjamin Eckenberger and Margaret Eckenberger (Delancey); his spouse Kay Elizabeth Dum; and his sisters, Joanne Clouser and Niomi Echenberger.

He is survived by : his children, Melissa Sue Kramer (Eckenberger) of Millerstown and James David Eckenberger of Arizona; his grandchildren, Alissa Marie Kramer and Marissa Elizabeth Kramer; and his siblings, Edna Shuman, Nina Tolbert, Sonny Eckenberger and James Eckenberger.
