It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ethel Swartz of Minersville, Pennsylvania, born in Saint Clair, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 8, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Futchko and Elizabeth Futchko (Legaza); her husband Robert Swartz (Bob); and her siblings, John, George, Michael, Andrew, Irene Thur (Futchko), Elizabeth Tomko (Lee Futchko), Eleanor Youshock (Futchko) and Mary Cernesky.
She is survived by: her sons, Brian of Pine Grove, PA, John and Jamie Swartz of Wilmington, DE; her sisters, Annie Peiffer (Futchko), Barbara Kuneiga (Futchko) and Dorothy Stranko (Futchko); her grandchildren, Diana Sorokach, Brant Swartz and Sarah Swartz; and her great grandchild Whitten Sorokach.
As a devote and deeply religious member of St. Patricks Catholic Church, the family requests donations be made in lieu of flowers to support the ongoing work of catholic charities.
