He was predeceased by: his wife Mary E. Salopek (Sylvester); his parents, Thomas Salopek and Anna Salopek; his siblings, Margaret (George Cervanyak), Pauline, Albert (Fran) and Tom (Toots); and his niece Keely.

He is survived by: his children, Richard (Jennifer), Jon (Lynn), Patty (Bob Krecek) and Dee-Dee (Skip Smith); his grandchildren, Jackson, Libby and Victoria; and his brother Dan (Polly).

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Good Samaritan Hospice, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, PA. 16023.
