We are sad to announce that on April 12, 2024, at the age of 93, LaVerne Petrie of Moon Township, Pennsylvania, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of LaVerne Petrie to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her husband Bill; her sister Carole Cooper; her daughter Monique Clark; her grandchildren, Zachariah and Kristy; and her close friend Gordon Hurlbert.

She is survived by : her children, William Michael (Karen) of Deep Creek, MD., Mark (Elena) of Fort Wayne, IN., Craig (Elizabeth) of Boardman, OH. and Stacey (Michael) of Burgettstown, PA.; her son-in-law Bruce (Vanessa) of Moon Township, PA; and her close friends, Don Gardner, Annie Logan-Buzza, Donna Glaab, Elia Hurlbert and Molly. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM. A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the R. D. Copeland Funeral Home (981 Broadhead Road, Moon Township, PA 15108).
