It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene McCarney of Morgantown, Pennsylvania, born in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 23, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Michael D. McCarney. He is survived by: his wife Ann McCarney (Young); his children, William McCarney, Elizabeth Shultz (David), James E. McCarney (Jean) and R. Andrew McCarney (Barb); and his grandchildren, Heather McCarney, Michael McCarney, David McCarney, Taylor McCarney (Kate), Kate Brunner, Kristin Britcher (Justin) and Daniel McCarney (Aimee). He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent in Gene's name to any environmental organization.
