He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Diem and Helen Sandoe Diem Buzzrd; and his stepparents, Herbert E. Buzzard, Sr. and Esther Hanna Diem. He is survived by: his daughter Patricia Diem of Morgantown; and his granddaughter Crystal N. Diem (Thomas Davison) of Oswego, NY.
