He was predeceased by: his parents, Clair J. Mellinger and Bessie Mellinger (Gordon); and his siblings, Doris Leakey, Patricia Wallace and Dale Mellinger.
He is survived by: his sons, Roy L. (Carol) and Ronald C. (Heather); and his grandchildren, Mikayla and Alexis Mellinger.
