Carol J. Tantum, a loving and kind soul, passed away peacefully at her home in Morrisville on September 10, 2025, at the age of 86.
Carol was known for her warmth and generosity, making a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She graduated from East Stroudsburg High School and went on to work in the Admissions Office at Rider University for over 30 years. Her unwavering commitment to family shone through in everything she did. Carol was the kindest, warmest woman you could ever meet, she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Outside of family, Carol found immense pleasure in cooking, baking, sewing and organizing, turning her home into a haven filled with warmth, love and laughter. She was always the kind-hearted person who made everyone feel welcome and valued.
She was predeceased by her parents, Maude and William McWilliams, and her beloved husband, Douglas Tantum (2024). Carol is survived by her children; Dawn and her husband, John, Doug and his wife, Patty, Dean and his husband, Steve, and Donald and his wife, Barbara; her seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers; Russell and Douglas: along with many other relatives and close friends she has made throughout her life.
A private service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
