She was predeceased by: her parents, James W. Dillon and Katherine Logan Dillon; her husband Donald B. Porterfield; her daughter Kathy Porterfield; and her siblings, Wilma Kinneer and James Dillon.
She is survived by: her son David Porterfield (Mary) of Greencastle; her grandsons, David "Roman" Porterfield of Chambersburg and Alex Porterfield (Kearstin) of Lancaster, PA; and her sister-in-law Mary Agnes Dillon of Mount Pleasant. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association or to the Antietam Humane Society in memory of Irene F. Porterfield.
