He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmond A. Koons and Helen Koons (Yakish). He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Koons (Whiffin); his sons, Michael Koons (Marci) and Stephen Koons; and his siblings, Susie Ortale (Tony) and Richard Koons (Cindy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
