He was predeceased by : his parents, Kenneth E. Bierly and Thelma L. Bierly (Waddell); his siblings, Kitty Bierly, Karen Carpenter, Michael and John Bierly; and his grandsons, Nickolas and Sebastian.

He is survived by : his wife Debra Heilman; his daughters, Bridggette Gittle (Chad) of Lewisburg and Nicole Bierly (Rob); his brothers, Jeffrey Bierly (Sue) of Newburn, N. C. and Joel Bierly (Mary) of Watsontown; his stepchildren, Nicole Beaver (Lee) of Milton and Zachary Watson (Megan) of Allenwood; his mother-in-law Elizabeth Heilman of Muncy; and his grandchildren, Hailey, Skye, Dameyin, Brennen, Ryan, Logan, Trinity and Amelia.
