He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bodnar and Anna Bodnar (Kochmaros); his wife Joann Bodnar (Buchko); his son Mark Bodnar; and his brothers, John, Edward, George and Paul Bodnar.
He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Long (Walter), Donald F. Bodnar Jr. and Beverly Petro (Mark); his siblings, Frank Bodnar and Mary Gamrat; his grandchildren, Shawn Dillon and Nicholas Dillon; and his great grandchildren, Kayden Dillon, Bella Dillon and Lilly Dillon. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
