She is survived by: her husband Dr. Guthrie Carr; her children, David Knudsen (Lori), Ellen Russell (Frankie) and Kristina Knudsen Rizzo; her grandchildren, Kristin Peters (Carl), Jennifer Knudsen, Rachel, Leah, Jon Russell, Krista Hunter (Alan) and Jeremy Rizzo; and her sister Ina Whitehead. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
