He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edward and Frances Gary Cermak. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Jane "Janey" Heller Cermak; his children, Ed Cermak (Jill Douglass), James Cermak (Niki) and Rene Lynn Hurley (Vincent); his grandchildren, Morgan, Elizabeth, Kyle, Nicholas and Joshua; his sister Nancy Jameson of Houston, Texas; and his niece Blair.
