He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Jakiela and Mary Glod Jakiela; his wife Carol Ann Jakiela; and his siblings, John, Walter, Thaddeus, Milton, Bernard Jakiela, Josephine Barchewski, Stella Nejman, Sr., Mary Joseph Jakiela and Helen Jakiela.

He is survived by: his sons, Wayne Jakiela (Lisa) of Murrysville, Kevin Jakiela (Lori) of Murrysville and Tim Jakiela (Ruth) of Murrysville; and his grandchildren, Austin, Chloe, Madisson, Max, Emma, Lili, Halle, Justin and John. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Eugene's name.
