He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Mazziotti and Celesta Libbinetti Mazziotti; his wife Edith "Rita" Giordano Mazziotti (Betty Sampsell); his siblings, Joseph L. (Louise), John A. (Jay), Paul Mazziotti (Wanetta) and Jenny Cuffia (Jim); and also Dave Sampsell.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Deana Smeltz (Doug), Lori Ann Burdell, James S. Burdell (Dorre) and Stacy Gerasole; his great grandchildren, Aubree Churilla (Andrew), Luke Smeltz, Savanah Burdell, Jordan (Hannah), Rachel and Jacob Incerpi; his great great grandchildren, Davina and Thea Churilla; his daughter-in-law Linda Sampsell; his grandchildren, Lindsey Raiden, Donald Sampsell and Teresa Talley (Gary); his great grandchildren, Carmen Sampsell, Brian and Dan Talley; and also, Bob Sampsell, Bill Sampsell and Debra Wilson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
