He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephan Berton and Anna Berton; and his brothers, Steve Berton (Margie) and Albert Berton. He is survived by: his wife Mary Alice Michlovic; his children, Monica Cherniawski (Patrick), Marie Lasher (Michael), Joseph Berton (Rebecca) and Philip Berton (Beatrice); his grandsons, Jack, Ian and Matthew; and his sister-in-law Gina Berton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
