He was predeceased by: his former wife Dorothy Tovey Dortenzo of Squirrel Hill. He is survived by: his wife Dolores Smalara Dortenzo of Monroeville; and his sons, Joseph Jr. and David L. (Pittsburgh).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hart Funeral Home (3103 Lillian Ave, Murrysville, PA 15668). A prayer will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 9:15 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Mother of Sorrows Church (4202 Old William Penn Hwy, Murrysville, PA 15668). An entombment will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery (718 Hazelwood Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15217-2807).
