He was predeceased by: his parent Phyllis Suter Bettis; and his daughters, Lynn A. Thompson and Robin A. McDonald. He is survived by: his wife Dolores "Dee" Bettis (D'Ippolito) of Murrysville; his children, Samuel Bettis (Beverly) of Jeannette and Phyllis Bettis; his grandchildren, Justin Padgett (Veronica), Shane Bettis (Ashley) and Christie Beres (Stephen); his great grandchildren, Caden, Leiam, Ella, Sydney and Dakota; his half-brother Tim; his brother-in-law Richard D'Ippolito (Faye); and also Suter. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
