He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Lawrence Gunson and Susie Gunson; his wife Jean MacPhaul Gunson; and his siblings, Ira Lawrence Gunson Jr., Robert Allen Gunson, David Oliver Gunson, Mildred Gunson Perry and Lois Palmer Gunson.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Sam Perry (Brickey), Richard Perry (Shirley), Charles MacPhaul (Pam), David MacPhaul (Vicki), Janci Gunson Hurt and Martha Baker Vasquez (Juan Douglas); and also Myra Mamo. He is also survived by several great nephews and nieces and great great nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to St. Albans or The Willows in his memory.
