He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Sauers and Frannie Sauers (Scholl). He is survived by: his wife Joan M. Sauers (Proca); his sons, Brian Sauers (Christine) and Kurt Sauers; his stepsons, Richard Poniktera (Laura) and David Poniktera (Connie); his grandchildren, Colin, Jacob and Allison; and his former wife Helena Sauers. He is also survived by 7 step grandchildren; 7 step great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Grose Funeral Home, Inc. (358 W Washington Ave, Myerstown, PA 17067). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
