It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Joan Carole (Wood) Hockenberry of Nanty Glo, Pennsylvania, who passed away at the age of 83, on February 1, 2023. She was predeceased by : her parents, Ernest Wood and Christina Wood (Laughard); her husband George; her sons, Charles and Brian; and her siblings, Tom, Ernest "Sonny", Mary Jane Berringer and Margaret Delehunt.

She is survived by : her children, Deborah Thomas and Earl Hockenberry (Joyce); and her sisters, Andrea Reed (Robert) and Ellen Dinsmore (Robert). She is also survived by 13 Grandchildren. 22 Great Grandchildren. 2 Great Great Grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan's memory may be made to Shriners Hospital or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
