She was predeceased by: her sister Robin Johnson. She is survived by: her parents, Robert Silverthorn of Nazareth and June Silverthorn (Munnerly) of Nazareth; her spouse David A. Howey Sr.; her daughter Michele Howey of Nazareth; her siblings, Robert Silverthorn Jr. of Belvidere, NJ, Sherrie Lipscomb of Newark, DE, Tammie Fusciardi of Frenchtown, NJ and Carol Hollahan of Perkasie, PA; and her grandchildren, Jayda Rodriguez and Riley Rodriguez.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Barbie's memory may be made to Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St., Easton, PA 18045.
