He was predeceased by: his parent John D. Sr.; his siblings, Willard Jr, John D. Meixsell, Jr., Isabelle Dax and Virginia R. Romanishan; and his nephews, Robert Meixsell and Nicholas Romanishan, Jr..

He is survived by: his parent Ruth A. Meixsell (Getz); his wife Carol; his daughters, Kathleen M. Behling of Nazareth and Christine L. Deschler (David) of Bethlehem, PA; his grandchildren, Ryan Deschler and Julie Deschler; and his sisters, Joyce Marakovits of Stockertown, PA and Victoria Abbott of Catasauqua, PA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may offered in memory of Chester to St. John's UCC of Nazareth.
