He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edward and Mary Amanda Benning (Ellenberger); his son-in-law Terry Davis; and his siblings, Wayne Benning, Janet Gindlesperger, Imogene Stiffler, Betty Landis and Carole Duppstadt.
He is survived by: his wife Audrey Will; his children, Lynn Benning (Pamela), Lesa Davis (Ray Lasure), Lori Benning (Bob Zerfoss) and Len Benning (Kirk Widner); and his sister Judy Suder. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
