He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Napier and Caroline Napier (Johnson); his son DeVaughn Napier; his siblings, Henry Napier, Doretha Napier Moore and Frances Napier; and his great grandchild Damien Jackson.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Napier (Hayes); and his children, Erick Napier (Lisa Gomez Napier) of Mesa, AZ, Clarissa Napier of New Castle, PA, James J. Napier, Jr. of Sharon, PA and Caroline Poland of Cleveland, OH. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, and three great great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
