It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Nina (Woodard) Callen of New Castle, Pennsylvania, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on August 8, 2025, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Nina may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Nina touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her mother-in-law Myrtle Callen. She is survived by: her fiancé Randy Callen of New Castle; her father-in-law Merle Ealy; her siblings-in-law, Russell Callen (Delores) of Akron, Ohio and April Fertig (Dave) of New Castle; and her close friend Robert Chavis of New Castle. She is also survived by three nephews; three nieces; three great nephews; two great nieces.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, August 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. (2429 Wilmington Rd, New Castle, PA 16105). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
