He is survived by: his children, Shania Wilkes (Christian Fuchs) of Sharon, PA, Timothy Wilkes of New Castle, PA, Jasmine Gaus (Tony) of Freedom, PA and Stephanie Wilkes (Jeffrey Masterson) of New Castle, PA; his brother Robert Wilkes of Georgia; and his nieces and nephews, Mary Wilkes of Augusta, GA. and Coi Henson (Clifford) of Augusta, GA.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
